Betaris Risk Assessment of Role
Betaris has developed a comprehensive Risk Assessment Proforma compliant with the ENTO National Occupational Standards for the Prevention and Management of Workplace Violence Unit WRV 3: Identify, assess and review the risk of violence to workers.
It is best practice to conduct a risk assessment of the roles performed with your organisation, and to consult the individuals who perform the roles when conducting the assessment.
YOUR RISK ASSESSMENTS SHOULD IDENTIFY THE FOLLOWING FACTORS:
- What are the specific risks of work related violence?
- Who is at risk from work related violence?
- What is the likelihood of the risks occurring?
- What is the severity of the risks if they were to occur?
- What is the overall risk rating of the violence, i.e. Likelihood x Severity = Risk Rating
- What are the potential triggers to violence?
- What control measures you current have in place?
- What control measures you need to put in place?
- Who is responsible for implementing the control measures?
- When the control measures will be implemented?
- When the risk assessment will be reviewed?
YOU MUST REVIEW YOUR RISK ASSESSMENTS IN THE
FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES:
- In accordance with the specified review period on your risk assessment forms
- As a result of change to working practices
- Following an incident of work related violence
